Helen completed her foundation degree in Veterinary Nursing & Practice Management and qualified in 2012.

In addition Helen also holds the following qualifications:

  • Centre Of Applied Pet Ethology (CoAPE) Certificate In Canine & Feline Veterinary Health Nutrition
  • Compassion Understood Certificate to help with pet bereavement
  • Pet Health Councillor Certificate

Helen is also a clinical coach to help student veterinary nurses with their practical training.

She has spent time at a number of small animal practices across the region including Buckley House, East Midlands Referrals and Bray House, as well as some time as a locum at the dog Trust in Loughborough.

Helen joined the team at Pride Veterinary Centre in February 2018, and is now based at our Oakwood practice.

Her main interest is nurse clinics, where she can advise pet owners on flea and worming treatments, neutering and many other consultations. Helen has a specific interest in nutrition, with a key focus on  weight management and dietary advice.

Outside of work, Helen enjoys spending time with her cat Floss, who she adopted as a rescue from a practice she locumed at. She is roughly 10 years old and rules the roost. She also likes to go out looking at wildlife (including birds, mammals, dragonflies and insects) with her partner.
