Izabelle Deith

Izzy and is the Veterinary Care Assistant (VCA) for Oakwood and a few other Scarsdale Vets sites - she has been with the company for just over a year now. Izzy's job role is very wide and includes various tasks like keeping our patients comfortable and happy whilst staying with us, this includes maintaining their kennels, feeding them, keeping them clean and spending some time bonding with them, so understanding animal behaviour is a big part of it. As well as this, she do lots of cleaning, prepping for surgeries, assisting the vets and nurses, and some admin tasks too.

Izzy has a very keen interest in animal behaviour and how we can improve animals' comfort when at the vets. She loves all parts of her job but she says her favourite part is seeing all those waggy tails and smiley faces! Izzy's long-term goal is to train to become a Veterinary Nurse but she is getting lots of experience under her belt first by being a VCA.

At the end of the day, Izzy goes home to her 2 boys, a Pomeranian X chihuahua and a dachshund x who are both couch potatoes! They love cuddles and snacks, and Izzy loves taking them out for walks and giving them loads of attention! From time to time, Izzy also fosters some animals. Most recently she took in a stray kitten for the weekend until it found a home to go to.
