Chelsea Clapham

Chelsea is a Student Veterinary Nurse who is split between the Scarsdale Vets Oakwood and Shelton Lock sites. She started working for Scarsdale in February 2022 and has been on her student journey ever since. Before working for Scarsdale Vets, she graduated Derby University with a Bsc Zoology degree in 2020, but it was after this she realised she wanted to go into Veterinary Nursing. Chelsea has always had a passion for animals and says she has dreamed of working with them in one way or another since she was a child.

During her time here at Scarsdale Vets, Chelsea has worked in various departments and has gained lots of experience with many different patients. Through rotating round, she has realised that her favourite area of nursing is consultations and has decided that once she is a fully qualified Veterinary Nurse, she would be interested in becoming a consulting nurse and doing some further certificates in this area. This is mainly as although she finds surgery and inpatients interesting, she like the bonds that you can create with patients and their families. 

At home, Chelsea has three Guinea pigs called, Yoda, Chewy and Saber who she loves spending time with. Chelsea is originally from Rotherham where her dog, named Domino, still lives with her family. Domino is a Jack Russell X Springer Spaniel who loves to go on long walks and his favourite thing to do is cuddle up on the sofa getting belly rubs!
